Our Story

About Avant Marketing

Growing up in Byron Bay, founder Luke Coyle was immersed in the incredible culture, music and natural environment that the Byron region has to offer. From a young age, Luke had an entrepreneurial spirit. His first business was doing garden maintenance for his neighbours at just 8 years old.

After completing a degree in Applied Science, Luke found that employment opportunities in the area were scarce. He didn't like working for wages and knew that starting his own business was the only way to go.

Luke had always seen the potential for the Internet to generate income. Having taught himself html coding through University, Luke was approached by a few of his musician friends to help build websites for their bands. Before long, Luke was contracted to build websites for a local music management agency and many other local businesses.

Knowing how much work was involved in starting a business and seeing business after business fail in the local area, Luke decided to focus on helping small businesses to compete in the new global market.

That's when Avant Marketing was born.
